Across the globe, women are paid less than men. This gender pay gap is the result of direct discrimination in which women are paid less than men for doing the same job and in the undervaluing of women's work and the segregation of the labor market. In the United States, Equal Pay Day is observed on the 12th of April, the date women must work into the new calendar year to earn what men earned the previous year.
At the 2016 Area Meetings we will once again kick off the Bedsheet Fundraiser.
